POLICY/PROCEDURE

UPDATED: AUG 2023
In Coach Stef's studio (Room 4 of the Taylor Recreation) each & every student is an important member of the classroom. Coach Stef believes students should be taught in a safe, nurturing, and positive environment. Below you will find important information regarding policies and procedures. Please take a moment to carefully review the information with yourself and your child.
CLASS ETIQUETTE
Please be on time for class/sessions.
No food or drink in the classroom.
No snacking during class time.
Cell phones are not to be used in class (usually not a problem with the little ones).
Profanity, unsportsmanlike conduct, and or gossip will not be tolerated. Positive energy only!
Keep your hands to yourself! (If this is a private session.. You should be okay with this one)
No hanging or climbing on other mats/equipment.
Listen to your Coach!
Students and parents will conduct themselves in an appropriate manner while inside the Taylor Recreation and Coach Stef’s classroom.
Proper respect for instructors is expected of all students, parents/guardians and siblings.
Bring a good attitude to class. Attitudes that are disrespectful, uncooperative, or aggressive do not have a place in the classroom (if a student displays disruptive behavior they will be asked to leave the classroom).
Always use a tight body, proper body alignment and 100% of your energy during class.
Remember to smile, learn, and have fun in each class!
Students are expected to be in class each and every week. Absences or tardiness can have a negative effect on the entire class. If a student is more than 10 minutes late they will not be allowed to participate in class. They have already missed the important part of warming and stretching the body before drills and skills. Sorry, no exceptions. Make sure you notify the teacher in case of an absence (send a message through our website “contact coach”.)
PRIVATE TRAINING: Cancellations must be at least 24 hours in advance or you forfeit your payment/session.Sorry, no exceptions.
CLASS OBSERVATION
We appreciate our families and their support, but we ask parents to view their student’s progress from the hallway or to even simply walk away. Trust that your child is in good hands. Please stand away from the doorway. Do not be a distraction to your child’s time to learn and grow. Sometimes students feel additional pressure and stress when trying to please a parent. It is important for all students to remain focused while in the classroom. Feel free to utilize the upstairs track (you must pay a small fee to the front desk of the Taylor Recreation) and get some steps in! Or rest on a bench and read a book. This is a chance for you to also have some “free time”. If you take photos or a video of your child, feel free to tag Coach Stef in it! @CoachStef (Facebook) or @TheGypsyCoach (Instagram)
CLASS ATTIRE
Depending on your child’s age and gender they will probably wear something different to class. However, the outfit most will wear to class is a leotard (or biketard). Form fitting gym clothes also work. Please, no baggy clothes, zippers, buttons or loose jewelry.
